Want to escape the summer heat in Barcelona for a bit? The MACBA (Museum for Contemporary Art Barcelona) and CaixaForum just opened the joint exhibition “ART, TWO POINTS. BARCELONA LIVES CONTEMPORARY ART”.
The exhibition shows an unusual journey through the art history of our time while exploring the tensions between the avant-garde and contemporary art scene.
“ART, TWO POINTS. BARCELONA LIVES CONTEMPORARY ART confronts the city with its vocation for innovation and experimentation, with its risk-taking spirit and the transversality of the arts.” (MACBA)
During summer the exhibition is open until 8pm giving you plenty of time to combine visits to the exhibition, the beach and the rest of the city.
The exhibition is on until 6 January 2014.
